Ayurvedic Detox (Panchakarma)
Panchakarma is an intense detoxification process involving five different ways of internal cleansing. This is designed around an individual’s needs, be it for good health maintenance or to deal with for long-term chronic disorders.
This programme involves a series of Ayurvedic cleansing and detoxification therapies administered over a continuous period of time, usually 14 to 21 days, while taking herbal medicines and keeping to a strict diet and lifestyle. Panchakarma requires a serious investment of both time and resources.
Ayurvedic Cleanse
This 5, 7 or 10 days cleanse programme is a very effective alternative to panchakarma (detox) when that is not possible. It is less intense but highly beneficial for balancing the mind-body constitutions, rectifying the digestive fire (corner stone to health), clearing the channels and strengthening the bodily tissues. It also removes toxic accumulations from the body, mind and emotions hence is also ideal for doing during seasonal change i.e. Spring and Autumn. This cleanse will help to reduce gas, excess weight and water retention.
The cleanse may involve a day of fasting (dependent on body type) which improves the overall functioning of the body; provides tranquillity, strength, energy and vitality; increases immunity and also helps to switch on our innate healing system.
The cleanse vary according to the result you wish to achieve. Accordingly it will include a strict soup diet (either made for you or recipes provided), partake in a one day fast or consume ghee for a few days along with specialised treatments to help remove physical, mental and emotional toxins.
The cost for these vary but in all cases you are required to have an Ayurvedic Consultation first.
