Diet or nutrition?
The truth is most people think they are the same when they are not. Diet relates to a “specific intake” of foods that promotes for weight loss or weight management. Nutrition on the other hand deals with the nutrients in the food that helps to nourish and promote growth, sustain energy levels, aid digestion and mainly to keep us healthy and devoid of diseases and ailments.
At For Balance we work with two types of nutrition, namely Ayurvedic and Yogic which deals with all the above but tends to highlight the necessity of the energetics needed to give us a more robust and holistic approach to eating. The emphasis is not only on consumption but also the factors that relate to what, why, when and how we do this that affects the quality of good physical growth and mental wellbeing.
